“If we want to know what our future looks like, we have to create it." We are the ones we have been waiting for.
My mission is to disrupt the accepted norm around what is possible as we age, to be a beacon of light and provide education and inspiration through a world-class program for those wanting to achieve their big audacious dream by sharing their unique gift with the world.
Sometimes inspiration comes knocking and we grab hold of an idea or a thought and run with it, or not. That's pretty much how it was for me when was inspired to begin Bold Not Old. It was a vehicle, a way of exploring ageing and self-expression, which at the time I needed. I began by using style and my own self-expression as a way to connect with other like-minded people who seemingly had similar attitudes and goals as I did, I didn't have any particular plan just a desire to get going. The plan has morphed as we have changed and fine-tuned the goal of helping others.
Being the consummate Entrepreneur all of my life helped me to be open and allowing when inspiration came knocking on my door. I am a great advocate for entrepreneurship and the rewards and satisfaction that come from doing something for oneself.
My journey has been the hero's journey I suppose, the quest for what could I do with this fledgling idea and inspired dream. I have learned more about what it means to get older, how we are perceived generally in society and that it is never too late to follow our dreams. My passion and desire to share what entrepreneurship offers has not waned and I continue to search for ways to share my knowledge and expertise with others of like mind who aspire to achieve their dreams.
